Coach Dan Moore
North Platte
After coaching at North Platte for the past 18 years, Moore will move to Papillion-LaVista for the 2011-12 school year and will be an assistant coach to Jason Ryan. While at North Platte, Moore compiled a varsity record of 161 - 170. He guided teams to state rankings in 1994-95 (#9), 1995-96 (#5), 199-00 (reached the state semi-finals, #3), 200-01 (#7), 2001-02 (#10), 2003-04 (#10), and 2006-07 (#10). He was the North Platte Telegraph Coach of the Year in 1996 and coached in the Nebraska vs. South Dakota All-Star game in 1997. Moore also coached in the Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star Game in 2007. A 1981 high school graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Moore went on to earn his bachelor's degree in 1986 at Kearney State College. He played for the Lopers in 1983-84. He was a senior assistant at KSC in 1986 before a six-year stint at Moreno Valley, CA., where he was the jv coach. He then moved to North Pltte, whre he stayed until the end of the 2010-11 school year. Dan and his wife, Kim have four children: Rylee (18), Trey (15), Danielle (13), and Jadyn (10). HObbies: Golf, running, being with family.
