Coach Tim Cannon
Omaha Bryan
Cannon has led the Bears to six state tournament appearances in the jpast seven years, including last March's runner-up finish to Omaha Central. He is only 25 wins away from 400 for his career. A 1973 graduate of Council Bluffs St. Albert High School, Cannon played at Benedictine College and also attended Creighton University. He earned his bachelor's degree from UNO in 1973 and his masters from UNO in 1988. He is currently an administrator/coach at Bryan. He started his coaching career in 1979 at Omaha Cathedral, where he stayed for six years. He then moved to Bryan in 1985. His 1983 squad at Cathedral was the Class C runner-up. Cannon has been named Metro Basketball Coaches' Association Coach of the Year (1998, 2005, 2007, 2011). Tim and his wife, Shirley, have three grown daughters, Jessica, Michayla, and Heather, and three grandchildren, Rylee (5), Addison (3), and Elijah (9 mos.). Hobbies: Travel and being with family. |
