Final Tryouts for the Bison Red and Bison White all-star basketball teams will be held at Waverly High School on March 11, 2012 - Whites from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon; Reds from 12:30 until 2:30 pm.............These tryouts are invite only. Players will be notified within the next 2-3 weeks if they have been nominated and invited to the tryouts. Invites are extended by the Nebraska Basketball Coaches Association.
The NBDA Bison "Red" team (sometimes referred to as the "Senior" team) is made up mostly of seniors-to-be for the upcoming school year. The team is selected through a process that includes nominations from coaches who are members of the NBCA and a one-day try-out usually held the day following the Nebraska Boys State Tournament. The "Red" team is the "flagship" of the NBDA, having competed in summer tournaments since 1981.
