Lincoln Northeast
Lincoln Northeast enters the State Tournament with a 19 - 3 record, having defeated Lincoln North Star for the District Title. LNE faces Omaha Bryan at 9:00 p.m. Thursday. Meechie enters the State Tournament with 12.3 ppg and 4.5 rpg averages.

Johnson scored 13 points as the Rockets advanced to the semi-finals with an 88 - 76 win over Omaha Bryan. Northeast will play Bellevue West at 5:00 p.m at the Devaney Sports Center.

LNE lost to Bellevue West 78 - 58. Johnson scored 8 points and recorded 4 assists.


Matt Culliver
Omaha Bryan
Omaha Bryan lost to Lincoln North Star in the District Tournament but qualifies for the State Tournament via the wildcard. Bryan will put its 18 - 4 record on the line against Lincoln Northeast at 9:00 p.m. Thursday night. Matt averaged 25 points per game and 5.6 rebounds.

Culliver scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, but Omaha Bryan was still beaten by Lincoln Northeast 88 - 76 in the first round.


Brandon McGruder
Omaha Bryan
Omaha Bryan lost to Lincoln North Star in the District Tournament but qualifies for the State Tournament via the wildcard. Bryan will put a 18 - 4 record on the line against Lincoln Northeast at 9:00 p.m. Thursday night. Brandon brings a 20 ppg and 3.2 rpg average into the State Tournament.

McGruder scored 26 points in Bryan's 88 - 76 loss to Lincoln Northeast in the first round.


Matt Hill
Lincoln Southeast
Lincoln Southeast's 19 - 3 record was good enough for a wildcard birth in the State Tournament after the Knights lost to Omaha Northwest in District Play. Southeast plays Omaha Creighton Prep at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Matt's 19.4 ppg and 10.7 rpg paced the Knights this season.

Hill had 8 rebounds and 11 points in Southeast's first round loss to Creighton Prep, 41 - 33.


Ryan Moore
Beatrice
Moore's Beatrice team enters the State Tournament with a perfect 21 - 0 record. The Orangemen defeated Lincoln Pius X in the District Final and will play Aurora at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Ryan is the leading scorer for Beatrice with 16.2 ppg and 3.4 rpg.

Moore's 15 points paced Beatrice to a first round 47 - 38 victory over Holdrege. The Orangemen will play Norris in the semi-finals.

Ryan led Beatrice into the championship game with 19 pointsin a 44 - 32 defeat of Norris.

Moore scored 22 point in the Class B finals to give the Orangemen a 54 - 49 win over Mount Michael and claim a 6th Boys State Basketball Championship.


Kenny Howard
Grand Island C.C.
Grand Island Central Catholic brings a 17 - 8 record to the State Tournament. The first round at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Pershing Auditorium will be a rematch of their District Final victory against Hastings Adams Central. Kenny led the Crusaders in both scoring (17.8 ppg) and rebounds (10.2 rpg) this season.

Howard scored 18 points and pulled down 6 rebounds to lead GICC to its third victory of the year over Hastings Adams Central. The 46 - 34 win puts the Crusaders in a semi-final matchup with Conference rival, Wahoo Neumann.

Kenny put up 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but it was one basket short of making the finals as GICC lost to Wahoo Neumann 32 - 31.
