| Coach Scheef is a graduate of Midland College ('85) where he played basketball for four years. He coached at Shickley (3 years) and David City Aquinas (9 years) before coming to Wahoo where he has been head coach for 7 years. Coach Scheef has a 238 - 143 career record as a head coach. Coach Scheef has taken four teams to the State Tournament, including a 1997 C1 Championship with David City Aquinas. Coach Scheef was an NBDA junior team coach in 1996. He coached the Nebraska Coaches Association All Star game in 2004. Coach Scheef has earned numerous honors, among them, Huskerland Prep C-1 Coach of the Year in '97, Metro Coaches Association Coach of the Year in '97, and Nebraska Coaches Association Boys Basketball Coach of the Year in '97. Kevin and his wife, Jodi, live in Wahoo with their four children, Ben (12), Jake (10), Taryn (7), and Trey (5). |
