Waverly Coach Nunnaly's Comments: Tyler is the whole package. He is a tremendous defender and scorer. Tyler can score going to the basket, pulling up for the jumper and knocking down the 3-pointer. Tyler is a fierce competitor and led Waverly to the state tournament last year and a final season #3 ranking. (Only the 2nd time in the last 35 years that Waverly has made it to the state tourney.) In addition, by the end of his Junior year, Tyler already is the all-time leading scorer in school history as well as holding the single-season scoring record. Tyler is also a student leader of our FCA and a 4.0 student.

Tyler was recognized as Class B 1st Team All State in 2009 and was selected o the Second Team Super State Team. He averaged 20 points for the Vikings, leading them to a state tournament appearance. He scored 33 against Omaha Roncalli and grabbed 10 rebounds against Platteview. Tyler was also a Class B All State selection in football, 2nd Team Super State. He is a state qualifier in track. Tyler holds school records for the 100 meter dash (10.87) and career points in basketball (still counting). With a 4.0 gpa, Tyler is an honor roll student, National Honors Society member, and an Academic All State selection the past two years. Tyler was a member of the 2007 NBDA Gold Team and the 2008 NBDA White Team.
