Bison Red, after shooting 64 percent from the free throw line in its first pool play game, made 18 of 22 against KC Premiere, a 81 percent effort.

Tobin Reinwald and Brady Lollman each made a pair of 3s in the first half as the team shot 6 of 9 from beyond the arc. Defensively, Bison Red limited KC to a 23 percent effort from the field (14-for-59). Elliott Eliason, a 6-11 post player from Chadron, continued his double-digit rebounding string with 13. *Bison Red jumped out to a 9-0 lead, stretched that to 17 by halftime, then held back a mild rally by KC in the second half that sliced the lead to nine with 8:38 left in the game. Tobin Reinwald led all scorers with 24 points while Elliott Eliason scored 10 points, pulled down 16 rebounds, had three assists and three blocked shots. Dylan Flinn joined Eliason in rebound double figures with 12.

*In a game played less than an hour after its semifinal win, Bison Red struggled from the field, but still had a chance to win or send the game to overtime in the final seven seconds. Two shots, one a 3 and the other one a follow shot in the lane, bounced out and Arizona survived to win the tournament title. Bison Red made 18 of 51 field goals for 35 percent and 8 of 15 free throws. A 3-pointer by Tobin Reinwald from the top of the key gave Bison Red a 45-44 lead with 2:20 left in the game. Arizona then made four straight free throws before Trevor Menke ended the run with a layup. A free throw by Arizona with 15 seconds left boosted its lead to two and set up Bison Red's final possession that fell short.
