Bison Red End Season 3 - 2 In L. A.
In the Best of Summer Tournament in Los Angeles, the Bison Red won 2 of 3 pool games, finishing 2nd in their pool. In the first round of the Silver Division Tournament, the Nebraskans easily defeated the Houston Celtics 87 - 48, but lost in the second round to Louisiana Future 50 - 67. The Bison finished the season with an 18 - 8 record.

*Tobin Reinwald's layup with five seconds left helped seal the win for Bison Red in a game that featured rough play underneath. Bison Red recovered from a 9-for-28 field goal effort in the first half to shoot 50 percent in the second half. Brady Lollman made a pair of free throws with 42 seconds left to push Bison Red's lead to 42-37. Mike Dentlinger and Eliason had 10 rebounds each.

*Bison Red never trailed and held a 20-8 lead after the first six minutes of the game. A 66 percent shooting effort, its best of the summer, allowed Bison Red to maintain a double-digit lead for the entire second half. Elliott Eliason and Dylan Flinn grabbed nine and seven rebounds, respectively. Eliason, Trevor Menke, and Brady Lollman were a combined 12-for-12 from the field.

*Bison Red shot 42 percent from the field and committed 18 turnovers while suffering its first loss in pool play. Tobin Reinwald was the only player in double figures with 12. Mike Dentlinger, Dylan Flinn and Elliott Eliason had five rebounds each. Bison Red never had the lead in the game and a 15-6 run by Team United to open the second half built a 17-point lead.

*Bison Red broke open a close game early in the first half thanks to a 24-11 run and never led by less than 11 points the rest of the game. Elliott Eliason had 12 points, 16 rebounds and four blocked shots while Brady Lollman scored a team-high 13 points. Dwight Smith had five assists.

*Bison Red never recovered from a 15-1 run early in the game that turned a four-point lead into a 10-point deficit in less than six minutes. Louisiana used its athleticism to pull down 15 offensive rebounds in the first half and 18 for the game. Bison Red, after shooting 50 percent in a first-round win, struggled to a 32 percent effort against Louisiana, including 6-for-20 from 3-point range. Zac Bargen scored all of his team-high 11 points in the second half, while Elliott Eliason scored nine in the first half. Eliason was hampered in the second half by a sprained ankle, but the 6-foot-11 center still finished with 11 rebounds and two blocked shots. The loss eliminated Bison Red from the 148-team tournament as the squad closed its summer with a 18-8 record.
