King James Classic, Waukegan, Illinois; July 9 - 11, 2010
After an easy first two games in the King James Classic, a 47 - 17 win over Minnesota Magic and an 82 - 56 win over Rising Stars Gold (IL), the Bison Red found it tough going. A missed 3 point opportunity in the closing seconds left the Reds on the short end of a 70 - 69 score against the Illinois Defenders and then in the final game, Minnesota Fury scored a field goal in the final seven seconds to down the Reds 62 - 60.

*Bison Red shot 59 per cent from the field and held Minnesota to a 17 per cent effort. A 17-0 run in the first half helped produce a 25-point halftime lead. DK Augustine was 5-for-5 from the field while Sam Bongamin and Dylan Heath each pulled down six rebounds.

*Bison Red shot 72 per cent from the field as Galen Gullie made 7 of 8 field goals and Ethan Brozek was 8-for-11. Dylan Heath grabbed eight rebounds and Derrius Vick had six assists. Bison Red led 19-2 five minutes into the game and stretched that lead to 34 midway through the second half.

*Bison Red used a 9-0 run to take a three-point lead with 7:02 left in the game, but Illinois answered with a 11-2 run over the next four minutes. Ethan Brozek scored on a layup, Derrius Vick added a free throw, and DK Augustine made two free throws to pull Bison Red to within a point with 31 seconds left in the game. An Illinois turnover with 23 seconds remaining allowed Bison Red to set up for the final shot, but a 3-pointer from the wing bounced off the rim and the clock ran out in a scramble for the rebound.<

*Bison Red suffered another close loss, this time in a consolation game of the King James Summer Showcase. Minnesota led by as many as 15 points in the second half, but Bison Red rallied to tie the game at 60 with 32 seconds remaining. A Minnesota shot from the lane broke the tie with seven seconds left and Bison Red was unable to get a clear shot off in the closing seconds. The loss ended Bison Red's tournament stay with a 2-2 record.
