Coach Heard has been at Ralston High School for eight years where his teams have placed in the top 10 six times. In 2008 - 2009 he coached the Rams to a first place finish. He was honored as the Huskerland Prep Coach of the Year, Metro Coaches Coach of the Year, and Nebraska Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2009. Coach Heard is a /99 graduate of Doane College and coached at Crete (4 years) and Millard Noreth (2 years) before coming to Ralston. He has a wife (Kelly) and two children (Brylee, 2 and Jake, 1).
