The Bison Gold were 3 - 1 at the Summer Classic held in Bloomington, Minnesota on July 13 - 15, 2011. The Golds defeated both of their pool opponents and then advanced in the first round of the tournament with a 70 - 51 victory over WOTN Bloomington. The Golds were eliminated in the quarter finals by Minnesota Pump n Run, 49 - 65, ending the summer with a 15 - 5 record.
