The Bison Nebraska Gold reached the semifinals at the Mullen High Profile Tournament held in St. Louis, Missouri from July 9 - 11, 2011. The Golds were 2 -1 in pool play and then defeated Missouri Impact 81 - 43 in the first round of the tournament. In the second round, the Golds prevailed over MoKan Red 58 - 50. The Nebraskans fell short of the tournament finals with a 55 - 60 loss to Heat Elite from Oklahoma. The Golds finished the tournament with a 4 - 2 record.
