The Bison Gold claimed the Silver Division Championship at the King James Classic. After losing their first game 47 - 52 to Illinois Twolves, the Gold won their next five games, their closest contest coming in the finals with a 59 - 50 overtime decision over D-Rose Chicago. The Bison Gold lost their first pool game in the King James Classic Tournament to the Illinois Twolves 53-47. The Bison Gold started the game slow missing some easy shots and poor defense led to the Wolves having a halftime lead of 29-21. During the second half the The Twolves expanded their lead to 13 points. The Bison Gold then held the Twolves on 6 offensive possessions and went on a 17-4 run to tie the game at 41-41. The Bison Gold had 3 possessions to take the lead but could not get over the hump. The Twovles hit clutch free throws down the stretch to take the lead and never looked back. Leading the scoring parade was Connor Lusso with 12 points followed by Dylan Bohlke with 8.. The Bison Gold will play later in the evening and will be entered in the Silver Division tournament which will start tomorrow.

The Bison Gold won their second pool game of the King James Classic by defeating the Iowa Inferno 53-36. The Bison Gold jumped out to an early lead and maintained it with the score at halftime being 22-16. With the help of four 3 point shots in the second half and good overall defense the Bison Gold extended their lead to the final margin of victory. Leading scorers were Jake Nannen with 11 followed by Jack Hummel with 10. The Bison Gold will move into tournament action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bison Gold won their first tournament game in the King James Classic with a 45-33 victory over the Missouri Rocks. The Bison Gold played a very good first half and built 27-14 halftime lead. In the second half both teams played a sloppy game. The Rocks cut the lead to 8 points but the Bison Gold turned up the defensive pressure and came away with the victory. The leading scorer for the Bison Gold was Dylan Bohlke with 11 points. The Bison Gold moves on to the quarter finals of the silver division later tonight.

The Bison Gold won their quarter final tournament game in the King James Classic with a 47-34 victory over the Rockford Wildcats. The Bison Gold played their best game of the summer especially on the defensive end holding the Wildcats to 8 first half points. During the second half the Bison Gold built a lead of as many as 22 points before giving up some easy points at the end of the game. With the win the Bison Gold will move into the semi finals on Sunday against the Minnesota Heat. Leading the scoring parade was Luke McNitt and Jack Hummel both with 10 points.

The Bison Gold won their semi final tournament game in the King James Classic with a 45-41 overtime victory over the Minnesota Heat. After building a 26-13 half time lead and building it to a 16 point lead in the second half the Heat closed the gap to 3 with 5 seconds to go in the game. On the inbounds play the Bison Gold failed to foul and a 40 foot shot at the buzzer banked in to tie the game. In overtime the Bison Gold scored first and stopped the Heat the rest of the game with tough defense to pull out the victory. The Bison Gold will play D-Rose out of Chicago in the finals.. The leading scorer for the Bison Gold was Jack Hummel with 9 points.

The Bison Gold won their final tournament game in the King James Classic with a 59-50 overtime victory over D-Rose of Chicago. The Bison Gold lead early on the first half building an 11 point lead but three 3 point shots by D-Rose cut the lead at halftime to 6. During an exciting second half the game went back and forth with the Bison Gold building a 7 point lead with under 2 minutes to go in the second half. Clutch shooting by D-Rose and a costly turnover at the end of the game sent the game into overtime. In the overtime period The Bison Gold scored off of the jump ball and never looked back. Tough defense and good free throw shooting in overtime sealed the victory for the Bison Gold and the Silver bracket championship. The Bison Gold will head to Kansas City for their last tournament on July 22 with a 15-3 record.
