Hoosier Shootout, Indianapolis, Indiana; July 5 - 8, 2009
The Bison Gold won two of their three pool games at the Hoosier Shootout, but then lost the first round of the tournament. Brady Barrett of Adams Central paced the Gold scoring with 50 points for the tournament, including a 19 point game against the St. Louis Raptors.

The Bison Gold lost there first pool game of the Hooiser Shootout 60-47 to Eric Gordon of Indiana. Being tied 31-31 at half Eric Gordon went on 6-0 run to start the second half. Poor shooting both from the field and the free throw line cost the Gold any chance of coming back in the second half. The Gold were led by Brady Barrett with 12 points. The Gold will continue pool play on Monday evening.

The Bison Gold won their firstpool game 74-57 against the Randolph Boys Club of Wisconsin. With the game close thru the middle of the first half the Gold used a stiffling defense to extend the lead at half time by a score of 37-24. During the second half the Gold continued their strong defensive performance to extend the lead to as many as 22 points. The Gold had four players in double figures paced by Brady Barrett with 14 and Sam Hahn with 13. John Harris added 13 and Kiefer Musiel 12 to even the Gold’s pool record at 1-1. The Gold will finish pool plays against the St. Louis raptors Tuesday afternoon.

The Bison Gold won their second pool game 71-41 against the St. Louis Raptors. After trailing early the Gold again used a tough man to man defense to gain the upper hand on the Eagles. The Gold finished the first half with a 13-2 run to take a 16 point lead at half time. The Gold started the second half with a 20-10 and never looked back. Leading the scoring parade was Brady Barrett with 19 followed by Jordan Schroer with 14. The Gold moves into tournament play on Wednesday against the Wisconsin Playground.

The Bison Gold lost their first game of the Hoosier Shootout 62-48 to the Wisconsin Playground. Poor shooting both from the field and free throw line hurt the Gold chances of winning the game. The Playground leading by 11 at half went on a 12 -2 run to start the second half and never looked back. The Gold could never get any sort or run in the second half and finished the Hoosier Shootout with a 2-2 record. Kiefer Musiel led the Gold with 10 points. The Gold will start play on Thursday at the Kentucky Hoopfest.
