After trailing in the first half by as much as 8 points, the Bison Blue went on a 16-0 run to take control of the game. The Blue never gave up the lead to the hot shooting and one of the best teams in the area Indiana Spiece.
The Bison had balance scoring led by Galen Gullie and Cole Spurgeon with 12 points each while DK Augustine chipped in 10 points. Reath Jiech and Alec Smith both had 8 points and 6 rebounds each as well. Adonis Hill contributed 4 assists and 2 seals in the Bison Blue's first pool play game of this NCAA Certified event.

The Bison Blue jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 31 point win over the Illinois Thunder-cats(Aurora). The Bison Blue were led in scoring by Alec Smith with 13 points with solid contributions from Adonis Hill(11 pts.,1 assist and 3 steals). Reath Jiech had 9 points and 6 rebounds and Galen Gullie had 8 points and 2 steals.

The Bison got off to a slow start as they trailed by 4 at half time to the host team of the tournament. However, they opened the 2nd half with a 23 to 6 run and never looked back. DK Augustine had a solid game inside and scored a team high 15 pts. Galen Gullie had 13 pts. while Jacob Brown had 11 pts.

The Bison lost their first game of the tournament in cross pool action 67-69. In a very hard fought game the Bison got up to a early first half lead and led at half by 14 pts. The second half the Blues went cold for the field and could not rebound to go 3-1 in pool play. Plagued by foul trouble DK Augustine led the way for the 15U team out of the Omaha area with 12 pts. But the big story is Reath Jiech who had 8 pts and a game high 13 rebounds. Jacob Brown finished the game in double figures with 10 pts.

The Bison Blue avenged a loss in the cross-pool play by defeating the team from Hammond, IN. 75-67 in the first round of tournament play. Quentin Urban led the team with 19 pts. as he shot 4 for 5 from beyond the 3 pt. range. Galen Gullie added 13 pts. and both Reath Jiech and DK Augustine pulled down 5 rebounds each.

In the Semi-Finals the Bison Blue from the Omaha Metro area dominated one of the best 15U teams from Indiana, the Indiana Elite. DK Augustine controlled the middle by leading the Bison with 20 pts. and 5 rebounds. Reath Jiech had 5 rebounds and 3 block shots while Galen Gullie and Cole Spurgeon scored 18 and 14 pts. to help lead the team from Omaha in to the Championship game.

The Bison Blue won the 15 and Under division of the NCAA Certified Hoosier Showcase National Tournament in a over-time thriller over the South Bend, IN Lakers 76 to 72. DK Augustine led the way with 21 pts and 10 rebounds as Reath Jiech also has a double-duoble with 14 pts. and 14 rebounds. Galen Gullie contributed 14 pts. while Adonis Hill had 5 assits. The Lakers hit a 3 pts. shot at the buzzer to take the game to over-time but the Bison went on a 6-0 run to win their first National title of their 5 year existence in tyhe Nebraska Bison program. |
